Fence Records has announce that Homegame III will be taking place over the weekend of April 22nd / 23rd 2006, featuring a host of bands from the Fence Collective, as well as some special guests. Following a Sony-backed trip to the USA, Glasgow act Logan have been confirmed to support Alter Bridge (new band of former Creed man Mark Tremonti) on their European tourdates. They kick off with a hometown show at the Glasgow Academy on November 10th followed by shows aross England and finishing up at Amsterdam's Paradiso on the 21st. More at the Logan website. At the SECC on Sat 19th February, the bands announced for the
show include Teenage Fanclub, Franz Ferdinand, Travis, Belle

Mull Historical Society, Ricky Ross, Slam, Optimo, Mogwai &
Kevin McDermott. Each band will be playing an approximately
20 minute set. The Kipper Family are a new promotions collective dedicated to redresing the imbalance between the Dundee area and the central belt, gig-wise. They're starting up regular gigs - monthly, for now - at the the first of these being on the 13th January with Flying Matchstick Men, Q Without U and Findo Gask at the Reading Rooms. In February a couple of bands from Manchester (TBC) will play with local upstarts Uncle Fritz in the Art Bar in the first week of February (details to be confirmed); and in March (probably on the 5th), King Creosote will be playing at the Dundee Rep with Otterley in suppport.
