Mary Queen of Scots (PG)
128 mins (1971)

Director: Charles Jarrott
Starring: Vanessa Redgrave, Glenda Jackson, Patrick McGoohan

Mary Stuart was the last Roman Catholic ruler of Scotland. She was imprisoned at the age of 23 by her cousin, Queen Elizabeth, and executed 19 years later. The two queens with contrasting personalities make a dramatic counterpoint to history, and this classic film makes a welcome return to Mary's birthplace, Linlithgow.

An exhibition and a series of events to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the return from France of Mary Queen of Scots has been arranged by Annet House Museum 143 High Street Linlithgow.
This film is not included in the Annual subscription but tickets priced £2.50 will be available from Annet House Museum or at the door.
