            It is with quivering
lips and barely contained joy that Chemikal Underground can officially
announce the signing of Sluts Of Trust. We've rarely moved so fast
to get anyone's signature and having secured the autographs of John
and Anthony, we're certain this is the beginning of something very
special indeed. The band inked the deal, metaphotically at least,
with a set at Glasgow's Nice'n'Sleazy on the 19th July.
The band performed a live session for BBC Scotland on Monday - you
can still heat the stream at the Air
              website

             The
Delgados, having conquered the USA, revived their back catalogue,
and performed sets at the Concern for Africanand Burns an'a'that
shows, are now taking a well-earned break.

In the meantime, The Delgados performed a live set for BBC's Session
in Scotland on December 9th and this set was broadcast on the show
that week. If you missed it you can still listen
              online
The gig was video'ed too and you can view excerpts from it, also
              on the Session
              in Scotland website

            8 years. 19
albums. Top of the Pops, Peel, the Mercury nominations. You name
it. And to celebrate our octo-anniversary - well, to be honest,
it's as much to get the music out to anyone who might have missed
it first time round - we've collected some of the best bits of Chemikal
Underground (including two as yet unreleased tracks from Arab Strap
and Aereogramme), and put them together for YOU, dear listener.
'Skelp' spearheads a ridiculous campaign which is akin to us cutting
our own throat. You will be able to pick this up , it'll not be
              over a fiver.

               This
offer will NOT be on our web-shop which means that you will have
to get off your arse and beat off the crowds at your local retail
outlet - keep an eye open in record retailers for the rather lovely
              poster.
